Date at Cartems Donuterie

Our entire trip up to Vancouver B.C. was amazing, but we knew that we wanted to end the weekend with a new tradition on our actual anniversary, and it didn’t take long for us to come up with a fun and super delicious tradition that we can continue for the anniversaries to follow!

We are not cake people. For our wedding we had a 4 tiered wedding cake made of little donuts, flowers, and more little donuts - and I promise you it was a gorgeous cake! We had planned on going to 49th Parallel (which we will pop into at a later time) but when we went to Six Acres the previous day, our server suggested Cartems Donuterie. Who am I to turn down advice from locals?

Travel Tip: Always go for the advice given by locals. After all, they call that place home so they know the good food, the good drinks, the good everything!

The staff were so kind and sweet, making the experience just that much better. As for their donut selection? Oh goodness, it was madness (in the best way - of course) with classics like Vanilla and Chocolate Glaze to more adventurous kinds like, Sweet Wine and London Fog Tea. Brady went for the classic Vanilla while I opted for the London Fog donut paired with two Americanos.

It was a pretty quiet morning so we were able to find a table outside, sip our coffee, and enjoy the decadent donuts in front of us. I’m excited to continue our donut tradition in our coming anniversaries. It will be a perfect way to start off on our second year of marriage.
