Cordially K Seattle Guide Style

Girls Date At The Cutest Coffee Shop In Seattle

One of my greatest friends just recently headed down south, to Dallas, for a new adventure with her hubby. Before she left we set out to find the cutest coffee shop in Seattle and celebrate! If you know me, there are two things I cannot resist: homemade chocolate chip cookies & donuts. Like, my wedding cake was even donuts – I’m obsessed. Luckily, Candace is the same, so when we walked into General Porpoise, we knew we hit the cutest and the sweetest spot in all of Seattle.

The decor inside is gorgeous, we’re talking minimalistic style meets the cute sailor sipping tea, in a quaint coffee shop of London. Very descriptive right?

I’ve heard their Chai is to die for, so I paired it with almond milk, as I always do. I couldn’t have been happier with my decision. I prefer spicier chai and while this one had a more balanced taste, it was better than any other I’ve tried in Seattle!

Time to tell you about the decadent donuts they’ve got in here! They’re all made fresh and with seasonal custards, jams, and jellies and then they’re dipped in sugar. Sounds pretty sweet right? I grabbed the lemon curd and Candace grabbed a classical chocolate.

Over sips of coffee and donuts, we chatted about her new adventure in Dallas, future plans, and enjoyed the time we had before she left. As silly as this sounds, she was the first real friend I made in the Seattle area, and she weirdly has so much in common with me – so it’s a big deal! While we only met a year ago, we have a friendship that will last a lifetime. Not to mention, our husbands love each other and that my friends, is wonderful.

I wanted to take some home to my love, so before we headed out I grabbed a box of four: Vanilla Custard, Chocolate Marshmallow, Lemon Curd, and Cherry Pluot Jam. I had the two baristas behind the counter tell me their personal favorites for the fourth pick, and they both said the Cherry Pluot Jam! Once I tried the cherry one at home, I couldn’t have agreed more.

Share your favorite coffee shops, girls dates, and weekend plans! I love hearing what you guys have to say! If you have any spots that I need to try, don’t forget to type it below!
